About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Catlin Commercial is a family-owned real estate development company shaping thoughtful residential and commercial spaces across Midcoast Maine. Rooted in the Brunswick–Topsham community, our work is guided by a long-standing commitment to quality, practicality, and long-term value.
We create spaces designed for the way Maine lives—clean, modern layouts, durable materials, and details that reflect the character of the region. From multifamily residences to commercial hubs, every project is developed with care, clarity, and an eye toward the future.
As a local family business, we believe in straightforward communication, responsible growth, and building places that strengthen our communities for generations to come. Our goal is simple: to develop spaces that feel good to live in, work in, and be part of.

Daniel Catlin
Co-Owner
For more than 30 years, Daniel Catlin has helped shape the look and feel of mid-coast Maine. Since launching his real estate career in 1993, he’s been behind some of the region’s most recognizable retail, service, and community spaces—always with an eye toward smart growth and strong local impact. A longtime member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Dan brings both experience and vision to his role as co-owner of Catlin Commercial. His early wins set the tone: the Hannaford redevelopment, Androscoggin Savings Bank, and the revitalization of Brunswick’s historic Tontine Mall. In Topsham, his work spans major additions to the Topsham Fair Mall—Wendy’s, the 99 Restaurant, Goodwill, Sherwin-Williams, Great Clips, Kume Steakhouse—and the full buildout of Winner’s Circle with Starbucks, Beau Eye Care, U.S. Cellular, H&R Block, C&T Nails, and Aspen Dental. He also led the creation of the Mallett Drive residential community. Beyond that, Dan has completed build-to-suit projects across Maine and in Littleton, New Hampshire.

Peter Catlin
Co-Owner
Peter Catlin brings a rare blend of hands-on expertise and steady leadership to the Catlin Commercial team. He manages a wide portfolio of multifamily properties across Maine and New Hampshire, building long-term value through smart operations, proactive maintenance, and a strong commitment to tenant satisfaction. A University of Maine graduate with a degree in Business Management—and a master’s in Organizational Management—Peter pairs formal training with decades of real-world experience. Before joining the family’s real estate work full-time, he led large retail teams in the home-improvement industry, overseeing 200+ associates and driving annual sales of $60–100 million. His strengths: tightening operations, building high-performing teams, elevating customer experience, and executing the kind of strategic plans that move the needle. Peter also holds an extensive range of professional certifications, from OSHA 10 to multiple home-inspection credentials and a New Hampshire Real Estate License, reinforcing his reputation for high standards and operational excellence. Outside the office, Peter is an avid outdoorsman—traveling, hunting, fishing, and skiing—and a dedicated family man inspired by his wife, Adranna, and sons Brody and Logan. He’s also active in his church and community, bringing the same leadership and service mindset that guides his work. Grounded, experienced, and committed to long-term impact, Peter Catlin is a key force in driving sustainable growth across the Catlin Commercial portfolio.
